I recently did a little summer styling in our living room and wanted to share with you the process I took to do so!
I like to stick with neutrals, adding in interest with texture rather than color.
Here are a few items that will give you the summer style!
Coffee table books, some of my favorites here.
This is one of my favorite places to shop for seasonal decor.
Also, think about form and function as well as beauty. While a shelf full of decorative objects might be pretty to look at, do you still have a place to hide your tv remotes, your growing collection of magazines, or your reading glasses?
This is where the baskets and boxes come in handy.
On our end table I left the lamp and added a stack of books with a marble fish statue I found at HomeGoods.
The vase looks like a decor piece but it really houses our tv remotes.
On our coffee table I kept things simple by adding 3 air plants to a small planter with tons of texture. A couple candlesticks add interest with height.
I did add in one more pillow to the creamy neutrals. I liked the texture in this one and the color.
And here’s some more photos and close ups of the shelves!
